@ fuster:
An incredible omission… I agree. Since TV wasn’t included, there were several other awesome-ish spacecraft missing.
Not to mention the ships from FIRST MEN IN THE MOON, VOYAGE TO THE MOON, WOMAN IN THE MOON, AELITA QUEEN OF MARS (assuming there was a ship, I frankly don’t remember), ABBOTT & COSTELLO GO TO MARS, or the escape ships from WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE or the invader ships from WAR OF THE WORLDS, or the ship from the end of THINGS TO COME…
not all of them terrific, but many quite fabulously important…
…still, it’s a pretty good list…
How about the Shadow ships from Babylon 5;
The movie Aelita doesn’t appear to have included a spaceship. Not sure. But the Russkis had the good taste to name their Mars program after Aelita (title character of a classic avant-garde film of 1924, if you somehow missed it).
Here’s one ship they planned.
10 pages of this from some monkeyboy and nowhere do I see the Red Lectroids‘ Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems craft.
